Infinite Earth participated in the 2009 Celebrate Life Festival in Oldenburg, Germany. We presented our mission, current projects, plans for the future to the festival community and spoke with other organizations, sharing our experiences and interests. We are grateful for the donations to Infinite Earth following the Festival that have enabled us to further our projects.
Our organization donated uniforms and school books to the Hoonkhal School in Theri district, India for the 2009 academic year. We will continue to improve students’ educational experiences through projects such as this, supporting school facilities and providing academic materials, believing children will have more opportunities in the future with a strong educational foundation.
Infinite Earth funded the travel of two women from Orissa, India to attend a course in Germany on Ecovillage Design and Development for Urban and Rural Settlements through Gaia Education, a programme of the Global Ecovillage Network. The programme supports and promotes sustainable community design and development techniques which the women will implement in their home, Orissa.
We continue our support of our first project, the Chamba weaving center, with the facility and management costs. Through collaboration with Dr. Prabhavati Dwabha we have financed higher education scholarships for six exceptional young women from Ramana’s Gardens, a school and orphanage with whom we have a long-standing relationship.
Infinite Earth has two exciting new projects: (1) a partnership with Projekt Kaokoland, e.V., in Namibia, joining the organization to improve basic quality of life circumstances for the villagers in by supporting an orphanage and education programs and (2) a partnership with a Berlin orphanage, organizing art projects to support the creativity and spirit of the children.
